Međimurje is an example for Croatia and the world - Sustainable tourism

What sustainable tourism is, we can perhaps best understand on the example of Međimurje, which was declared a "green destination" region, the first such in Croatia and the fourth in the world in this category.

In addition to nature, which here showed a whole palette of green tones and which is beautiful, there is definitely tradition, but above all, hardworking people.

A great example of this is the beautiful Magjerka hill, from which Slovenia, Austria and Hungary can be seen in good weather. With the new viewpoint built there, the view reaches even further and represents the beauty of Međimurje in an even better way.

After all, the goal in this region is not to significantly increase the number of guests, but it is certainly to make the existing ones satisfied and create trust that will make them return year after year, the locals point out.
